Default Adjustable or solid push rods and what else while im in there

I am tearing down the top end to replace my base gaskets, head gaskets and getting the heads worked over, (bigger inlet, exhaust valves bit of blending etc and compression matched to my EV13 cam) My head man says i dont need to replace the stock pushrods unless i want to so is it worth it? what do i get out of a set of adjustables apart from the fact i can whip the cam out without pulling the heads (not planning on doing so after this!)

Also i am going to replace my rings(its burning a small amount of oil), bores and pistons all look good, no scoring on the bores (bikes only done 21k) while i have it all apart as i do at the moment is there anything else i should consider doing? the bike isnt going anywhere now for the next 4 months so im thinking while its apart i might as well do anything worthwhile!

I dont want to spend money on it for the sake of it but feel if there is something that should be done while its apart i might as well see if i can do it. Im not planning on opening the motor back up again for the foreseeable future! (fingers crossed!)

Sounds to me like have things worked out pretty well .. Perhaps someone else may have ideas but I think you have your bases covered just fine .. Never ever saw the need of adjustable rods unless didn't want to pull the head and make it a faster job for changing Cams ..

Doing a full strip like that I would stay with the stock pushrods. Replacing them would be spending money for the sake of it in my book Neil! I never stripped my Evo myself, but did my shovel many years ago. Replacing stock stuff was not as fashionable back then as it is now. They still worked fine!

If you cut the heads to raise the compression, you will need to install adjustable pushrods.

You have very little room for tolerances If you shave the heads & the jug decks to get rid of warp. Adjustables are great if your budget allows.
Confirm that the barrel studs are not the old style that give improper torque values or back off due to a bad design. That is worth the bucks to correct if their the ol' style!
Luv my EV-13, It pulls like an animal right off the line!
Hatch.

Apparently the amount of head cutting needed to give optimal compression for the EV13 is not enough to need adjustable, stock will still be fine, so im gonna stick with them for now i think, if its a bit noisy once put back together i can just cut the old ones out and use some adjustables instead.

What about the lifters, if mines a 95 does that have the newer better lifters in it? i am pulling the cam anyway as i want to change the gear back to the one of the original cam as it has a slight wine, which although has got better over the last few thousand miles is still present.
