I like my "new" 1990 flhtc. I turned 55 and bought a bike when my daughter turned 18. Seems and looks like a brand new bike. classic evo, needs care like a shovelhead, gives me something to do.

Wow..my 1988 FLSTC is an antique now? Heck, I was happy a few minutes ago when it was just a classic. I wonder if the value went up? not that I would sell it in any case. Yes, it is a pain in the butt to work on, there is no such thing as an easy repair even changing the bulbs in the speedo is an adventure. But lets face it, most of us in here wouldn't trade them for anything. I also enjoy the look on the dealers face when I ask for a part for an '88, most of the time I get the "Dude, why don't you get a new bike..get into the 21st century" and I tell them, I have a couple of computers, a cell phone, an I-pod and all the other electronic gadgets that come with modern day life and after all that I'm happiest on my nice and simple 1988 Evo powered bike.
BTW...put me down under the They are all classics.

You are not alone I have&nbsp\\; had 01 FXD, then 06 XL1200 (and 07 WG - now my father ride it so it is still in my garage ) and now I ride 1993 FXRS (with some little mods). Evo is different animal than Twin Cam. It`s reevs slower (even with Mik HSR42, K&amp\\;N and exhaust) than Twin Cam, it is not so fast (but in 5th gear bike reach red line - about 120mph? [sm=lildevil.gif]), it`s need more maitenance (38k miles and 15 years). It has "something" that new harley`s are missing (maybe the vibrations and oil leaks ).
