The Evo is the last Classic Harley Davidson. Our stock just went up with the introduction of the next generation Steam Head. I am so glad to have a Blockhead. The Twinkie will never be a Classic.
Oh, yeah, that makes sense. I don't know why I didn't put that one together. Something about the way I read the post, threw me off. I love the EVO's, always have, still I can remember when it was our EVO's that was the joke of the Harley world. Not a real Harley is what they were saying and few hardcore guys would give them a second look....So, as time progresses, I would say every Harley will become classics in their own rite, the Twinkies, even the Steamheads, probably.
Shovel, Pan and Knucklehead owners used to say that about Evos....they were wrong too.........
I suppose I will qualify my statement as being subjective. I should say never in my lifetime will a twinkie be a classic. You are correct, they were so wrong.
The Evo is just so right.

You need to broaden your outlook...I have had Shovels, Ironheads, Evos and Twin Cams....there is nothing wrong with Twin Cams except prejudice....
I remember in 1987 when I bought a brand new Chevy pick up that had fuel injection and all my friends who old carb trucks said it was the end for GM and that they were so happy to have a carb truck...................LOL
I sold my Evo Softail in 1996 and never looked back!
