It is Official,
I have a '99 Harley twin cam, the first year they were made. It has the same brakes my'96 did. It has M@M fuel injection. Runs good, easy to work on, And when I'm riding next to my friends riding '10's and '12's and a few '13's, the only thing they have over mine is monthly payments and a bike they can't work on. So I have a first year model bike, made in the last century, with all the stock parts on it. Even the air ride seat works like new. So is $10,000 to much to ask for a experienced classic?. No credit? bad credit? half assed credit?, I don't care. I can put you on this bike today!!!! All you need is a beer tab at a local bar, 2 people that don't have your last name as references, no convictions for mattress tag removal in the last 2 years, and the need to buy shiny stuff that you don't really need. If you meet all these requirement you will be qualified for my special easy payment plan. 100% down, NO Payments!!!! Call Today.,,,
Wow, take away, the H2O and this sounds exactly like the conversation that was going on in 1984. Progress happens guy's if you dont like the design, don't buy one! For me, I'm perfecly happy here in my own little corner and think I'll stay with the EVO, or maybe a cool little Iron Head, possibly another Pan. But one thing I can tell you, after 100+ years of changes...every Harley will become a classic in it's own time.
Oh ya back to the Evo, I have a smart phone but a dumb fuel delivery system that works flawlessly by prehistoric drip and the O2 sensor for the AFR reading/tuning system doesn't know any difference
