Andrews cam gears are mid sized, that way they have a better chance of fitting more engines. You can use two drill bits which can be had reasonably. That way you can measure your stock one and compare it to the Andrews one. Hope this helps.

sorry I didn't see this earlier, but you are right. Stock andrews matches to harley red.
it may be possible that gear whine goes away after break-in, but I wouldn't bet on it. I had a shovel that whined like it had a blower on it. It was like that when I bought it, and never changed.
