Default Edelbrock Carb for an EVO

Hey, Just saw an Edelbrock Carb online for $150 and was wondering if anyone has had experience with these and what to expect.
Cheers

I had one some years ago, fitted new by a local indy. Frankly it left a lot to be desired and I eventually changed it. It wasn't man enough for the job and I never found it very satisfactory. I suggest you look for a more common carb.

If they were any good they would be widely used. I have never seen one on a bike. I would stay with the more common ones.

Only worth about 32 cents per pound for a Harley but Edelbrock makes a great Street Rod carb

I've not seen them in several years....

I believe they came out in 1995/1996.....only seen one actually installed on a bike. I personally wouldn't want one, I like common carburetors.

I've got a qwiksilver carb on mine, I love that carb, easy to tune, simple design, and in my case it just works.

Edelbrock bought the carb design from another company...and started selling them...they later found out the carb was not competitive with the other carbs out there...so they redesigned them and fixed all the problems, but by then the carb had a bad rap and they could not give them away...so it may suck or be OK depending on what model it is.
