I had one some years ago, fitted new by a local indy. Frankly it left a lot to be desired and I eventually changed it. It wasn't man enough for the job and I never found it very satisfactory. I suggest you look for a more common carb.
Edelbrock bought the carb design from another company...and started selling them...they later found out the carb was not competitive with the other carbs out there...so they redesigned them and fixed all the problems, but by then the carb had a bad rap and they could not give them away...so it may suck or be OK depending on what model it is.
