timing marks

Default timing marks

pulled cam cover off cam off with cover so how do i match timing marks 96 evo thanks

Hi from the UK. You need to tell us more! If you are changing the cam for another you really shouldn't be doing so without a factory service manual! If you are simply admiring the gears, then turn the engine over until the marks coincide. That is best done with the rear wheel off the ground and in top gear, turning the wheel by hand.

Default replacing cam timing marks

removed cam cover and cam come off with the cover now i need to know what i need to do to get the timing marks right

Pinion gear is on a key so only goes on one way cam and breather look for the lines and dots . Only line up one way.
You probably should get a manual on this one. If the cam fell out you probably lost your lifters and pushrods too
