You cannot loosen the jug and reposition it.
You must remove the cylinder, replace the base gasket and reassemble.
Make sure the cylinder hold down studs are not loose or pulled out of the case.
no warranty that i would know of i checked head bolts the 2 bolts on spark plug side were easily snugged prob about 40 lbs the other side under rocker cover pretty tight
checked some search threads most said ride it till ready to do some mods. i might just try that and next winter maybe a little bore and cam might be in order. but i do appreciate everyones thoughts. if anybody had experience in drastic failure let me know
Mister this is only April 7 and your not trippin until July 1, do a top end build and double check you didn't pull any studs. I keep a spare set of gaskets on my wall and have done a tear down overnite for next day trip, you have plenty of time.By the way I have experienced pulled studs and now keep a dozen time-serts in my tool box for the next time one of my buddies have this experience.

i read another thread that had a book called 101 improvements that is easier to read than the service manual that i have when i read my manual it seems to jump around to many diff types see fig 16 for this year see fig 18 for that year. ive rebuilt jeep engines but never bike so i think i was a little overwhelmed reading that foreign language
