Hey All,

Took the speedo off to service the cable and looked at a couple of the bulbs.

They are all dark but still work. I want to replace them while I have the speedo off.

The parts list shows different wattage for different positions. Is that really necessary?

Have a great Memorial weekend and remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe.......

If your lights are too bright you will loose your night vision if you look directly at them. I would just get the proper ones and be done with it..

What are you using on the cable, mine is overdue. So are the other cables...lol

Yea, that's what I want to do, but I'm having a heck of a time finding them in the sizes reccomended.

I pulled the inner speedo cable out of the outer and greased it well. It was squeaking.

I put brighter ones in mine so that I could see them in my peripheral vision and don't have to look directly at them.

The dimmer ones I had to look at to be sure they were on.

As for cables I use cable life.

This is what I did to keep mine clean. The rubber boot is for tv aerials, so hardy and weather proof. It supports where the outer screws into the drive unit, slipped on using Vaseline.

Has your squeak gone? Some of us are not sleeping well......

The ones you have should have numbers on them. The auto parts store should be able to match them up no problem. Just make sure you take your old ones.
