So I bought intake seals from HD and have an appointment with my Indy to change them out tomorrow.
Tonight I decided to siphon out the gas from my tank so I could check my filter from my petcock to make sure it is clean and to rule out that it isn't part of the equation for my bike to backfire on deceleration and my spark plugs to be white.
I siphoned the gas into a glass jug and as I get to the bottom of my tank these off white transparent like flakes start showing up in the jug?? Wtf?? I take off the petcock and check filter and there is a little bit of the same stuff??
Any one know wtf it is?? Input would be appreciated!!

That said do you know if anyone ever put that cream tank sealant stuff?
The old style cream will come off with the new ethanol gass.
I watched a mechanic change the manifold seals on my Softail. As I remember, it took him something like 15 minutes. I've done it myself on my Sporty and it took less than an hour (I don't have as much practice). On the Sportster, I didn't need to remove the tank.
Got my bike back from my Indy and my ol'girl is good to go! Two hours of labor, intake seals, new front master cylinder, brake oil, cleaned carb and adjusted the timing $250 all in!!
Just had the intakes on my 2005 twin cam and it was 140.00 bucks total at a Indy. He had to stuggle with one bolt he said. It also has a engine fan and is FI. This included new flanges along with the intake gaskets. Sounds about in line with your bill, as you had the master cyl. also.
