Man the best thing you can do is go to harley and buy the manual there (paper).
The PDF manuals are harder to use (in my opinion) than the paper one.
After you buy the manual you need to get a 5" binder (4" is not big enough) and about 400 of those plastic sleeves. Then take apart the manual and put it in the binder. Doing this will keep it from getting dirty finger prints on it when you reference it while working on your bike.
Well, i decided to go ahead and try the 2nd one...5 seconds later BAM!
i got a downloaded version of the Harley manual for five bucks
printed it off front and back
Total for the manual -
$5 for manual download (same one at the stealership)
$5 for paper
$10 for ink
left over plastic slip protecters
and a binder
Somewhere here on HDF there is a caution about such websites. Harley defends its copywright and apparently they don't stay up long (I've never checked)! A new manual from the dealer costs about the same as one hour of labour, which is easy to claw back on the first job successfully completed. So the proper book is actually very cheap!
