It's a pain in the azz and you'll be cursing yourself when you're putting it back in. But once you're done you'll be glad you did it yourself. Just imagine it being your lawnmower.
don't let the size intimidate you. Show that turd who's boss!

If you already own the tools, then you are probably more than capable of doing it. Besides when you are done, you'll know a whole lot more about your bike than you ever did before. Take lots of pictures but really note the sequence that you took each piece apart. The shop manual doesn't really give you that much info on sequencing and if you don't pay attention, you'll have to take sections apart again to put them together the right way. If you had to, you could lift the motor out by yourself, it's not that heavy once separated from the primary and tranny, just awkward when trying to remove it from the frame. Better is to have a couple of helpers; one to steady the bike and the other to help lift and get it out of the frame. Good luck and enjoy. Half the fun of owning toys is working on them.

Whatever you do my man, buy a lift for a couple bones if you don't already have one. Makes allllll the difference!

I did pick up a lift. Way cool. Also are there many specialty tool I'll need? Also I plan to replace some worn parts when I put it back together, is there a good source for those types of little things?
