Default Carb guys, little help please.

The Wide Glide sat for a while when I was rebuilding the tranny. What a friggin' mess that ethanol fuel makes in a very short time. Anyway, a few shots of sea foam didn't do the trick so I pulled the carb apart. I've cleaned all the crud out of it, and now it's time to put it back together. I have three pieces that I can't find in my line drawing anywhere. On the left is a washer, the middle is a rubber grommet, and the right is what I believe is a cable sleeve.

Remove the idle screw, and the spring. The o ring will go down the opening first, followed by the washer, then the spring and jet.

The sleeve thing is a spacer.

It goes on the diaphragm cover front left side (as the carb sits on the bike), the throttle cable support will rest against this spacer.

Thanks for the info. I got the spacer part, but I'm a little confused about what your telling me about the washer and grommet. Are you talking about the idle screw that is on the throttle cable support? I removed the throttle cable support as a unit, never touched the idle screw, so it's not from there. I pulled the slow jet out, the main jet, the needle jet and the jet needle holder. When you describe dropping them back down the opening, what opening are you referring to? Thanks again for the help.

Sorry about the confusion, I was thinking Idle Jet, but typed Idle Screw...

The o ring and the washer are part of the Idle Jet assembly.

Remove the Idle jet from the carb body, and install the o ring into the opening that the jet just came out of. The o ring goes all the way down into the bottom of the opening, make sure it is seated down there properly.

The washer goes between the o ring and the spring, to protect the o ring.

So, from inside out, the order of those parts is: O ring, Washer, Spring, Idle Jet.

A lot of folks that disassemble CV carbs lose the o ring, and it drives them crazy trying to get the bike to run right.
