I don't use any syn in my bike. I have used harley an revtech primary stuff an didn't have any problems with either. I think I"m going to put I think it's red line shock proof in my trans next spring.

 

LW I just put in the Redline Trans fluid with Shockproof and am very impressed as my bike shifts better finds neutral easier and the kaklunk noise is quieter!!

 

Good to hear Ed, that's exactly what I heard it will do. Got to find a place to get it. Summit racing is about 45 min away.

 

Primary oil isn't gear oil. Use Dino 10-40wt. or the original Harley primary oil. We are talking primary here not the tranny right????? I tried the Red line in the tranny once and didn't feel it made any differance other than a big cost difference

 

Swamp I used HD Syn 3 in my primary and put Redline Shockproof in my tranny. You misread my post as I was replying to LW about Redline Shockproof in my tranny!

 

Actually I was referring to Spanners post about using gear oil in the Primary.

I tried synthetics in the primary, went back to HD formula+, clutch seems smoother.
