Have you researched using that tank liner? I've hear some good an more bad about it pealing. A local guy to me that bought my used tanks I took off takes them to a radiator shop for coating.
If that tank liner is the old stuff you really don't want to use it. With the old liners the ethanol we now have in the gas causes it to flake off and cause many problems.
At lest that is what I learned when researching what to put in my tanks when I had them done.
Called several places around here and no shop really wanted to take the time to do it for a reasonable price and no one I found sold these tanks pre-lined.
Figured since it's a new tank and if I do the right prep work that's the best I can do for now. Also, I don't use gas with ethanol.
FWIW, I've never sealed any tanks and never had a problem. I had a set of CCI 6-gallon tanks on my present ride for 14 years and no issues, no rust. As far as I'm concerned it's totally unnecessary. But that's just my opinion.

I agree, never sealed my extended tanks either. I don't let mine sit around too long without gas in her either.
