Fml the mech didn't adjust them. I took the pushrods back and they simply just weren't ran up. Couple of hours later everything seems to be ok

Your learning. Sometimes there's an easy way to learn and sometimes we learn the hard way. Just glad it wasn't a costly mistake!

After the last misadventure I had with a "Harley Independent Mechanic" leaving me with more major issues by overlooking some very basics I swear I will be the only wrench working on it as long as I can.

Best wishes and Ride On!

Are adjustable Pushrods a little more noisy than stock ones?

Make sure it isn't the cam and pinion gear slab your hearing. Loose clearence although noisy is better than to tight. Double check the gear clearence.

Hot cams are noisier by nature so just make sure the lash in the gears is OK, pushrods adjusted right and then ignore the noise that remains...
