Okay guys I gotta problem and I need some wisdom. I was in the process of doing the do. Removed old cam, inner bearing, etc. Well doing the install new Torrington bearing installed, new cam, new adj pushrods(Andrews chromoly), rolled the engine over wasn't bound up, and reinstalled everything.
Moment of truth came and then... Nothing. Sounded like it wasn't turning over. Went back through and the pushrods weren't right (exhaust rods are longer than intake). Reinstalled them and checked again, then nothing. Same sound like the motor wouldn't turn over. Any help is appreciated.
it wont turn over, but i was just looking at the nightrider site and I think I know exactly is wrong I didn't align the timing on the gears up right. I messed up. Well, I'll be pulling it all back apart in the morning, but atleast Im feeling sure about what the problem is thank you
I'm hoping too, but when we pulled the pushrods out they were not bent. I hope no internal damage was done either I start thinking dollar signs, plus I have 2 other projects running.
Update. Picked it up from mech this morning and everything was good for about 10 miles then I started getting what sounded like chatter from the pushrods and then the bike lost power and cut off. I'm waiting on a tow right now. Any ideas what the problem could be? I'm thinking check the pushrods when I get towed home.

If you have adjustable push rods it sounds like the mechanic didn't tighten up the lock nuts on the push rods and they came out of adjustment.
The Andrews pushrods I bought didn't have a jamnut/locknut I'm going to pull it apart when I get home and I'll report what I find thanks for the reply Tex

Then you got a defective set.
You have to have lock nuts to keep them in adjustment.
