I bought the HD stator and the bolts do not come with it. I am not trying to be cheap, but I get tired of the HD manual continuously telling me I must replace multiple bolts with new HD bolts just because the new bolts have thread locker on them from the factory. I have another question on the two small sheet metal type screws that hold the plastic bracket which fastens the stator plug were it goes through of crankcase. These are not addressed in the manual. Do these go in with or without thread fastener. I installed with very small amount of blue locktite at pointed end that goes into threaded holes in crankcase. Is this right or should they have been installed with no thread locker. I do not want to install them were I cannot get out in future and the screws are small. Thanks.

The answere to your question is in bold print in your manual .
It is there to inform you that the stator bolts require thread locker on them .
In " manual speak " this means buy another set of the correct pre. doped bolts from HD. to ensure this .
Its up to you to decide to use the same bolts and add your own choice of thread locker .
Re: stator wiring outlet ., this seems to be the failure point were most stators get fried due to shorting at this location.
Yes.. use removable locktight for the bracket screws as its the thing to do but also do all you can to prevent the wires from chafing and shorting at the grommet itself.
A homemade solution is to fabricate a bracket that gently enters the wires into the grommet and an application of silicone rubber around the wires at the entry point. This should prevent vibration stress on the wires .
Not much you can do with the factory grommet though.

They should have blue loctite on them, or the coarse threads are liable to loosen, with dire consequences. At least that's what I did (and, yes, I DID reuse them).
