Default passenger floor boards

i like the rear passenger factory floor boards on my heritage classic....bad think is when i fold them up, they won't stay up.....are they just worn out or is there some kind of trick to keep them folded up.....right now i have them off the bike.....is it a fallen rider thing to have them down all the time....need a little help here......they look good on the bike folded up, if they would just stay that a way....

theres a spring and a detent under the floorboard (part of the arm mount). I hadda beat the crap out of mine to get them out, clean up the hole / ball / spring, and put em back together with a little white lithium grease. worked like a charm

not completely. I just had to remove the board itself from the bracket....theres 2 pins that are held in by the rubber on the inside of the floorboard inserts (closest to the frame). just lift them out 1/2" or so (dont pull the small "pull through" bits out) and you'll see the pins. drift em out, and the floorboard should fall right off of the bracket
