Default floor boards

I got the harley davidson streamliner passenger floorboards, and went to put them on today. Got the stand put on easily, went to actually put the top part of the floorboards on, and they arent sealing so they look nice and tight. Does anyone have these? Anybody had this problem? How do you fix it. Theyre on, they just look sloppy. Thanks if anyone has a solution.

The inserts "float" in the boards. Make sure the rubber '****' are pulled all the way through the board. If not, use a pair of pliers to pull them through. The inserts will not be solid and are made to move to absorb the vibration of the motor.

No, as stated above they are designed to float. When you pull the rubber **** through use a little soapy water and don't pull them all the way through, just until they sort of pop in, otherwise the floorboard inserts won't "float" as they are intended to.

I have them on my Street Glide.
When I first installed them, I was afraid the inserts were going to fall out.
As HDV-GLIDE pointed out, they "float" and don't fit solid.

Just make sure you work the insert rubber "****" into the mounting holes.
A little soap and water might help there too.

After a few rides with a passenger, they will get worked in and you won't get that feeling they are going to fall out.
