I am sorry if this has been brought up before. I searched with no luck. I bought the Streamliner Passenger Floorboards I stall was easy untill, I got to the insert rubber portion. I am having trouble pressing the insert into the floor pan. I can get one side pushed in but not the outer side. Is there a trick to getting the insert rubber to plug in? Thank You
ALL applications: Center the two footboard pivot pins.
4. Use soapy water to moisten the rubber dowel pins and
pivot pin slots on the bottom of the new footboard insert.
5. Place the insert into position with the rubber dowel pins
mating the holes in the footboard pan. Firmly press the
insert into the footboard until the dowel pins pop into place.
6. Fold the passenger floorboard UP and tighten the setscrew
to secure the insert.
7. Repeat Steps 3 through 6 for the opposite footboard.
I will Try soap, But I there isnt any holes under floor pan to pull through. So I can only get half the rubber to push in.
Don't need any "holes". I just SPIT on the rubber and wiggled 'em down into the little nubs. The way they fit down in there seemed a little chintzy & un-secure to me, but once you get them on they work great and stay in place!
Ok Thanks for all the help, I tried the splitting the rubber, then pressing the area over the square tabs with a thin blade and that worked. Didnt feel like they lock in very well but the are flat and secure now. Thanks AnotherBlackSG
