You will need a tuner, 10-1 with the SE-4 will need some timing retarded in a big bike to tame the rattle monster. Powercommander or a ECM change by S&S VFI has been popular. Each tuner has pluses and negatives and several M&M owners have removed the hiccups with the VFI system, some of the pirate tuners can add fuel but can't alter timing so beware of these as your compression is going to be on the edge.
I have a S&S VFI ECM for sale if that is the direction needed, you have alot of research ahead of you pumping up the EFI bike. Compresson, headwork and a torque type cam will move the big bike but brings along some baggage with tuning so do your homework.
S&S do a replacement EFI, their VFI Module Kit, possibly also available through an HD dealer. We had a recent thread asking the same question. No need to go to a carb, which creates other problems.
I know---------------I should of put the s@s replacement efi kit on the post.Lots of guys had excellant luck with this early efi but some didn't.S@s has a good name with their replacement if its needed
thanks i would like to stay with the EFI to less hassle than a carb. Just didnt know of to many tuners out there for my system. Without checking i would assume a complete efi system change over cant be to cheap.
