ALWAYS check the gap on your plugs.

I just replaced the plugs in my 88FLHTC with the Harley Davidson Screamin Eagle plugs. I had been noticing some hesitation and sputtering below 3000 rpm and I figured what the heck, for 15 bucks, how can you go wrong? It's a cheap upgrade and it all starts with the spark anyway right?

Now this is all seat of the pants, but I notice much less hesitation and sputtering now, and the old girl seems quite a bit snappier too. Oh and the old plugs were nearly new and clean as a whistle when I made the change so it's not like they were old and fouled or anything.

I just installed the super duper tridium or whatever they are called (gapped to .039) and they are working fine. She was spitting and sputtering a bit before, but seems smoother now.

I bet she'll outrun one of them TWINKEES now........

Autolite coppers, if all is well with your engine then they last a long time, most any of them. I have 20+K on this set and see no reason to swap them out, I pull them every oil change (3K) for a look see and just put em back in.

sorry guys , had to cherp in here , all these negative remarks like this one tell me you have not tried them , I bought them and put them in my bike and they really make a big difference , no I am not affiliated with the company and would not know this salesmen if he lived next door but it really bothers me when there are post on here and it is apperent that you have never tried them , they will not stop all the wars or end world hunger but they are a good product and if you have not tried them then don't knock them , if you have tyied them , and I have not read any post on here were they did try them and not like them , but if so then go get your money back or shut up ,thanks

+1 on that........don't knock a product until you test it out yourself.....

and if you have read the other thread about disconnecting your battery while working in your primary area, you surely have to disconnect it while installing these plugs with their high output spark or your burn your hands...LMAO....

Well I'm not a forum police, or a certified mechanic, but I am a satisfied costumer. I bought the plugs a few months ago, I was very skeptical and figured I'd probably be returning them after a couple of weeks. Well I don't have a dyno or anything to go in to added HP, etc, and I'm not going to say I've gained any power, I just know the bike starts faster and runs better, and that's good enough for me. BTW the plugs I removed were only a couple of months old, and I still have them in my saddle bag for some reason, maybe at firstI thought I would be using them again....

what I am trying to get across is go buy a set , if you don't like them take them back , get your money then you can come on here and tell us all what junk they are, and like said they don't make a rocket out of your bike but do make a big difference and worth the money

They will not find this thread unless they are searching the forum for Pulstar (Forum members using Pulstar).

If we believed every claim for better mileage, smoother running engine, less engine wear, less engine noise, longer lasting tires, better paint protection, more horsepower, brighter lights, shorter braking distances, we all would have the best bikes in the world. So who here claims to have all of these? Someone must, the guys who advertise these things are still in business, so who's buying into it?.,,
