You wouldn't believe it if I told you..........
I lost a washer that went with the bolts that held the tank on........
I found it....inside of an accessory plug........I'll post a pic in a minute.

I haven't actually ridden her since I found it, but, I started her, and hit the brakes, and the headlight stayed on.........

I always thought Bertha had a nice tail! Glad you found it. Those electrical issues can haunt you. My son's Sportster has been haunting me for a while. I only get to work on it occasionally for a few minutes at a time. Brake light keeps blowing fuse. Think the short is in the hand lever housing, but haven't taken the time to take it apart yet to check the switch.
