Hey guys, hadn't been on here for awhile because I was in the hospital. Finally got out this week. So its time to tear the heads off an send to big boys. Install the new cam. I also got my new air intake an custom one off sissy bar. Shiuld be back from chroming next week. My question was. What jet kit are most of you guys running? I've heard of some bad thin gs with dyno jet kits. So what do you guys prefer? Thanks guys for input!
what carb are you running ? If the CV ,I would use CVperformence.com I have put there kits in a few carbs , from my daughters almost stock 04 883 , my 03 E Glide , my bro-in-laws 00 95 in dyna ,& have one ready for my 94 evo softie , bro in law could never get his dyna jet dialed in right , so we got the Kit from CV perfomence & he's set right no pop on decell no slow throttle going up to wot

Thanks Cowboy. Looks like a good site to get some good stuff!
If you do a search you will find a lot of pros and cons to these kits. The stock cv can be set up cheap and easy, and I for one would never drill the pilot or ever buy a carb that has been molested in this fashion. Rebuild kit, 88 sporty needle ( this makes the big difference), as per manual jets +1 size up drill the soft metal plug to get at the adjusted screw. This is the setup I run on a stock 85fl with 45 and 170 open pipes and stage1 AC.
Cheers
traildog , if you run a Cv carb thats the only place to get parts & info for then , he makes all his parts here in the USA not the jap crap HD sells ,& for the extra pennys to me it's well worth it ,
Thanks guys! I'm running the cv carb. I will definitely order from cv preformance! Don't think I'd ever drill the carb. Never was really sure about that. So I'll stick with not drilling, just jets, needle, maybe the slide. Thanks again guys
So many opinions on this one, tough to beat a sporty needle and some jetting BUT being myself, set a CV up with Dynojet aggressive needle, DJ emulsion tube, stock slide drilled polished and contoured, DJ spring cutdown with 52 low 205 big, ran flawless from whacking the throttle to WOT and everyday riding. Good carb and then found a Mikuni 45 for $50 which made me be myself once more.
