My brake lever is rattling, and figure that it is time to replace the bushing there. I know that you can mess up the brake switch if you are not careful. My question is, can I simply remove the pin and R&R the bushing with the brake lever still in place, or is there a better way to do this?

Sorry man I guess I wasn't awake when I read your question the first time.
To answer your question I don't think you can just pull the pin and change the bushing. If memory serves me right you have to pull the lever to access the bushing.
