1990 fxsts. I am looking to lower my front fender on my springer and not sure whats going on. The studs that that the fender mounts to are not the same length from one side to the other. Looking at the bike the spacing is longer on the right side(left when sitting on the bike). So I guess my question is whether it is supposed to be like this? If it is then what is wrong with my wheel? It does not sit center with the front fender. I want to build some brackets to sit it all the way down but I will have to build offset brackets and it will look funny. Any info or pictures would be great.
Use the manage attachments gizmo under additional options, browse to your PC and double click the pic, add some text_(you need a few words on each post)-over 10 posts to do it so make a post up and then try it again..
The stud mount on the right side of the picture is approx 1.7" and the left side is 1.35". I am wondering if it is a factory deffect or if all stock springers are like this. If this is normal I am wondering if it has a wheel that is not original on it or spaced wrong.
