To be honest if you called me on the phone with a low offer i would say no.90% of the guys on the phone never show up.Or if they get you down to 6k they get big ***** and show with 5k. As far as older bikes...some of us want them. Not just because of the price but its close to what we are used too from way back. Under 10 grand most times is a cash deal(lets face it if you dont have and extra 10k around you dont belong on one anyway). If guys are looking to finance they go to the dealer were its nice and easy to argue about color and a few bucks off. than sign the paper LOL Go get in your truck damn it!!! and bring it home LOL Your going to be kicking yourself in the *** if you dont go look LOL See easy for me

You said you thought the bike was worth $6k-$6500, he wants $6900, call and tell him all you have is $6500 and if the bike is as advertised you will give him the $6500. If he agrees to that go down and inspect it, if nothing wrong pay him, if you find something whittle down the price accordingly. I'm not rich by any means, but a few hundred bucks isn't going to stand between me and a bike I want.

I hear ya, just hate to drive all the way and find out the damn thing's blowing blue smoke or doesn't shift right!! I figure at $6K it's more worth the risk of travel. Boy if I didn't have a bike right now I'd be in my truck, but having 2 Harleys in my garage buys me a whole lot of patience.
But you are right about the cash factor, truth is not many of us have thousands of $$ laying around to jump on a deal........which is where I come in.
