Question Harley EVO ignition upgrade

Hi all...

I am going to replace the standard ignition on my 1986 FLST with the Accel electronic ignition ( http://www.jpcycles.com/product/381-644 )
and was wondering whether I need to adjust the timing on the bike after I have installed the unit.
I have had a look at the instructions and it seems very simple to do but it does not say anything about the timing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You just rotate the plate until the light goes out or on I cant remember. Either way its no big deal. I'd time it either way while I'm in there. I'd buy an ultima for 1/2 the price and it comes with a coil and wires

Let us know how you like it - whatever you end up going with - I have a dying Crane HI4 8-2100 and it will be comming out -

JohnFlorida, how long have you had the Ultima Ignition?
