Got it done, must have took 2 hours a cylinder scraping the old gasket.

Gasket usually has "this way up" on it but part numbers up if it doesn't.

Don't set the front jug by the rear lifter.....set it to TDC with both valves closed, its the best way of knowing that there is no load on the valves.

Thanks Spanners thats the way I ended up setting it up, it was a real bugger trying to bump the rear wheel with bike on jack to bring it to the top, must be getting old.
Second cylinder I put the bike down and just rolled it.Getting older but smarter.
