All sage advice guys. Im ringing. Trusworthy mechanic on Monday. He sells ultima here in oz. keen to see what his thoughts are, how much labour rmove and replace donk?
If you are doing it give yourself a coupla days (more likely a day and a half)
If you are having a shop do it schedule a much lighter wallet.
Yeah....thats the worry. Im not too flash with the spanners. I would like to take it out myself, and get the install, tune etc by the big boys......it will hurt the wallet, but hopefully on selling evo motor etc will will soak up some tears....

I recommend against this.
Either take it out and install the new one yourself or let the shop do it all.
Reason is that if you take it apart then you have to carry all the loose parts (without loosing any) to the shop. Not sure you would be thanked for handing them a box full of parts for them to sort out.
Thats great advice actually. Makes more sense on every level. I guess forking out 4-5 k for engine, need to do it properly. Then Im covered if anything goes wrong.
Thanks mate.
Traildog....i m absolutely **** house with tools....im the man they couldnt root ,shoot, or electrocute....but Im not much chop at mechanical things. Both parents are schhol teachers, i am also a qualified school teacher, but I run a pub instead.lots of friends tat are pretty handy with tools, but they are also pretty unreliable for this, as they all have young families and small businesses of their own. So for me, labour is the killer.......I will try to speak American.....

Good one guys.....ride safe, and dont stick the long one in the wrong one.....
