Default Harley Service Manual
Difference between HD and Clymer's edition for 1984-99 models, anyone know? Ok, bought the Clymer's edition w/o thinking about it, am I ok or is the other one better?

No comparison. Factory manual is much more detailed and will only cover 2 model years. Not 15.

A friend of mine bought me the Clymer manual and I tried to look something up in it.
I really didn't like it and haven't looked in it since.

Get the HD one you will be much happier.

I have both for the Softail. I actually think the clymers is a "addition" to the FSM. The HD one is truly more in depth but it is also expensive.

It pays for its self many times over so I don't really think it is expensive.

While your at it, I would recommend that you buy the HD parts book for your bike also.
