I finally figured out when my bike hits the reserve (150mi) and I have 12 miles of highway to go after work before I hit a gas station unless I brave the urban jungle before getting on the HOV lanes. Anyone know if I can make it?
I think it'll be worth my time to jump off early and get gas at 8 miles away instead of going for 15 and suck up some through town riding- I rode for 5 after reserve this morning....
I hit reserve one time on the interstate while I was moving to the right lane in front of a semi. luckily when the bike sputtered, I kept moving right out of the lane into the shoulder. the truck passed me Like I hit the brake. If you're running in traffic at highway speeds and the gas cuts out, you will get run over. No time to think, move out of the way.

Seriously???????????
All you have to do is reach down, switch to reserve, then keep going.
I do it all the time.

Well I made it! So it definitely does 13 miles past reserve and it took 4.6 gallons at the pump on a 5 gallon tank. I didn't want to push it any further, or I WOULD be pushing it. Thanks for the advice.
