That's the plan... the weather has been shitty and I'm less than motivated to go out to the shed and try to sit on the bike in there.

I am 6'1", and the original buckhorns are very comfortable for me. They are lower than my shoulder, but very comfortable just the same. When I put my hands out they just go right to the hand grips.

So are the buck horns what come with the bike (I am the 2nd owner and got none of the original stuff with the bike)? Is there a part number I could plug in for ebaying them?

Rainy days are a great time to hit the dealer and sit on everything they have, new and used, especially the used.

If you decide on the Buckhorns then send me a PM, I think mine are still in the attic.

Yes, Buckhorns were the original bars on all of the EVO Softail Customs. Not sure what the part number is though. They also use 4-1/2" pull back risers.

I rode to the gym the other day and I literally only need it to come back 3 inches diagonal up/back. I'm wondering if taller risers might just be the easiest thing.

Risers that small should be bolt in.
No need to change cables or wiring.
You may have to reroute the cables.

I put in 4" (2" up and 2" back) and all I had to do was reroute the throttle cables.

The problem is the risers are already a 4 up 2 back I believe. I dunno how longer ones would look. What size bar is usually on this bike? I am thinking something like this might be perfect and let me keep the current look/risers for the most part:

1"

You can rotate your bars in the riser clams to adjust height.
