Yes, on your carb 3/4 turn is a huge difference and it not only affects idle mixture but the
mixture in the whole first quarter of your throttle. It needs to be hot and I mean 20 minutes
of riding hot when you adjust it so the intake manifold temperature has stabilized. Btw - a
friend had the same problem with your setup when we're in Daytona in 1996 - new SE plug
wires fixed it after messing with the carb a bunch of times.

Ok i turned counter clockwise 1/4 turn today from what i have been having issue with....After reseting idle speed to where it needed to be.... Rode few miles up the road and back, when i pulled into drive and got to idle bike tried to cut off when i was opening garage door? i smoothly gave it gas and when i looked at the ground i noticed something i havent ever noticed (not that it hasnt been happening) If you look reeeeeeaaaallly close there is a slight blackness to air coming from exhaust at idle? Meaning rich, but yet i was to lean with the screw 1/4 turn clockwise just days ago? Im going to try new plug wires as stated above....Let ya know how it goes...Anymore suggestions are welcomed!
Okay I had something similar on my old evo chop with and S&S. Even though the enricher was supposedly down all the way it would hang up just a freaking hair. This may be a long shot but try this. When you adjust the enricher the arm itself attaches to a small round plunger going down into the carb body. Push down on this enricher plunger to ENSURE the enricher is seated all the way. Trust me it DOES NOT take much to richen it up. Turns out my enricher lever would hang up on my intake backing plate and I had to do some grinding. Hey worth a try. Good luck and let us know.

Don't know if this is your problem or not, but truer words have never been spoken about carbed engines. Be it bikes, cars, planes, tractors, etc, etc. 90% of carb problems are electrical.
When you were talking about installing a new carb and having issues like blackened plugs I was thinking you didn't get the intake manifold sealed correctly.
It may be in need of re-jetting.
Be sure the choke is opening fully and staying off when running. I had an issue whenever I really get on the throttle and raced around, my choke will somehow begin to close on it's own. I don't have a locking nut system on the choke cable so I put a crimp in the metal choke cable housing making it a lot stiffer. Now, only once in a great while does the choke close slightly on it's own.
Ok, going to try to see if pushing down on enrichner helps and depending on cost I mite go ahead with wires and new coil. I keep going back to electrical just as you all point ou simply because it only acts up if it hot outside? As if coil isnt sparking hot enough to burn the excess fuel before it fouls out...Let ya knw what happens within next few days.

Let me ask another question. When it hesitates is it a sudden jolt or a cough. Bad plug wires can cause the sudden jolt. Almost a scarry feeling when it happens. I learned one time that I had plug wires "leaking" because I reached down to hit reserve and BAM!!! shocked the crap out of me when I hit the wires. I knew right away what was causing my problem.
