ELS, you don't need to start a whole new thread just to keep the conversation going.

Just post in your old thread and it brings it back to the top of new posts.

That's probably my fault. I told him to post in the Evo forum since both bikes are Evo bikes and the Evo guys would be better equipped to give him all the whys/why nots on that '89.

No matter what anybody says you will either trade or not and have to live with the result.
I guess it really boils down to how bad you want the Electra.
Anything wrong with it can be fixed.

Dude don't worry about it.
One post is in touring and the other is in evo.
Not everyone looks at both.
Hell I never look in the touring.

All you are really doing by asking in both forums is expanding the number of people who see it and might give you their opinion.

No harm no foul.

This is going to be a decision made totally on your own and it ain't going to be easy. I have an 89 flhtp and my wife has an 89 Heritage. Although I haven't put a lot of hiway miles on the Heritage as I ride my own bike I have ridden her bike for some quick rides for testing purposes and even some shear fun but I still like the feel of my flhtp and the weight it carries. Then again hers seems to have a bit more pep because of it being lighter and
also handles a lot easier because of its low centre of gravity.

You didn't mess up at all. It's the guys that browse by showing all new posts and don't bother to note what section they are in before replying that muck things up.
