i have a 94 heritage that a guy want to trade his 89 electra glide and 800 dollars for his bike has 76000 miles on it mine has 18500 on it , his top end was rebiult 7 years ago is it worth the trade or do i stay away

Early Evos had some issues. IF the motor was redone by the MoCo, then the necessary updates would have been made to correct the early Evo issues. But I'd keep the '94 and look for something at least 1994 or newer. Go over to the Evo section and pose this question. They'll steer you in the right direction.
I say all this because I have and Early Evo. I wouldn't trade it for nothing, but I'm a gluten for punishment.
All depends on how well his bike was taken care of, how much do you want a bagger. I would want to see if he has paperwork to verify the maintenance on it.

I'd sell the '94 outright and then go look for the perfect bagger. But if you just have to have the '89 and it feels right, do it.
