Default Is the Evo side any better?

I post in the softail area and not many chatty folks over there... Is it better over here? I have a 99 night train and I'm in the middle of a 200 rear tire swap. I've posted over there a few times and get no feed back. Good or bad! Lol I enjoy forums and all the good info and people on the ones I join. However I'm starting to think I should look into a different one...

Yup, this is the friendliest and most active forum on the site. I ride a TC now but stay here because they are good people and very helpful.

You know Softails are for cissies though don't you?

A 200 width tire isn't near big enough. If you can't go 325, you're a wuss.

Saw your post over there, and it is possible no-one has done what you're attempting. I haven't. But, wasn't there a frame change in '99 and could this be the cause of your trouble?

And if you're running less than 12:1 comp ratio and 180 degrees of overlap just don't even bother trying to talk to us

Thanks for the quick response! I'm liking it better already! I may be kind of a odd ball. I have owned 3 Harley's. I started with a 05 fatboy. It didn't last long and I upgraded to a 08 street glide. Then divorced happened! That left me without a bike for a year! I saved what I could and started looking for a bike. I found my 1999 evo night train in very good shape with 23000 miles. Motor was mostly stock except for a mikuni 42mm carb and exhaust. I wasn't into the Evo until I found this bike! The sound is awesome with the VH pipes. The FB I had was carb so I had some experience with the carb already. Something about the Evo makes me feel like I'm better than those Twinkie riders! Lol! It may look like a newer night train when I'm done but the true harley guys will pick out the evo from the rest!
