seems my 87 stopped pumping oil on me, warmed it up then headin out on the 4 lane for 10 min. the pipes started not sounding right , it was getting hot, no oil light till after i changed the filter, and barely any oil flow, thinking on sumthing plugged or the key broke

I remember once someone found that the inside of one of the oil lines had separated and a flap stopped oil flow when the oil was circulating. Kinda like a one way valve.
If you didn't have a problem till you changed the filter I would start there.

its possable something got in the tank, had it off a few times looking for a leak that was found on the tank bottom..the filter was from harley, cranked it with no plugs, barely got oil coming out at the sending unit....
