I got caught in a down-pour several years ago.
What happens is that water gets pushed into the spark plug boots, and makes the cylinder(s) cut out.

Dielectric grease is your friend.
Use it on all your electrical connections.

Thanks All! I went to the car wash today and really soaked it. Started right up all wet. Wish I had done the grease in the plug wires, may be a while before the tank comes off again. But for now it's good, got a big performance boost too with that plug problem gone.

I've always had good luck with wet weather and the bikes I've owned. If it starts after 10 minutes, I'd do that spray here, spray there trick.

When your testing wires/electric components Use glass cleaner it evaps quick....better than water.

most likely plug wires or coil..
