Default New Exhaust...Engine Run-on...?

Hey

I slapped on some Rinehart slip ons......got to moniter the plugs now.

But...first new sign.....engine run on....or dieseling.

First thing to pop into your mind..............rich....lean?

Poor fuel quality or timing issue.

Bummer....such a short ride too....guess I saw it coming. ...was hoping it wouldnt act up.

What chance I could adjust the carb....vs...new jets?
I know S&S carbs....never played with one of these.

CV carb?
First, remove the cap over the mixture screw if not done already, to readjust idle mixture.
Also make sure there's at least a 45 pilot jet in there.

I thought certain models or years had certain carbs?

I think its a CV....it has two cables for the throttle. Im going to be digging for info on tuning.

If you got any quick fix adjustments to try...let me know.

Im wondering if the exhaust was worth it....it was running great before.

Looks like a mixture screw....needs to be drilled....before adjusting.

Then an idle screw also.....correct?.

It seems I can richen up the mix and possibly not need new jets.

Ill go out and check if its been drilled.
