How did you remove the clear coating on your rims before polishing?
Aluminum polish isnt supposed to be used on coated rims.
But the results look good.
Most, if not all of the cc is long gone by now. Either way the process is the same, sand w/ 220, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500 grit sandpaper, then a good polishin' w/ some Mother's aluminum polish. 8 hours and 2 sore hands later you get a shiny wheel!
Thanks to everyone for the compliments, makes my hands feel better lol.

You are way more dedicated than I am.
8 hours on one wheel?

Thanks for reminding me. My hands started cramping when I read your post.
I'll do it when I change the tire in a coupla months.

I just turn on some good tunes and get in the zone. I won't even realize it and several hours will have passed. I didn't stop til about 2:30 last night!
They look great, post a pic when its back together I think it will look awesome. The end result of polishing is great, but sure is a lot of work to get there. Then there is always that one scratch that just wont sand/polish out. Nice work!
