Default Spiffed her up a little...

While I have the front wheel off for a new tire I figured I would make the most of it. Did the routine maintenance stuff like pack the bearings, replaces the seals, and clean/inspect the brakes (boring, I know).
I also polished the wheel and painted the fork lowers. Forks were relatively easy, a good sanding and several coats of epoxy. The wheels were a little more involved. Several hours of sanding with various grits to remove the machined finish, and then a good polish w/ some Mother's. Both turned out pretty well, I think. Gonna try to get even more shine out of the wheel, though. Enough blabbing, here's some pics.
Wheel/forks before:

And after:

Nice job, seen so many good looking bikes, nice paint and polished chrome, then you look at the badly pitted forks, really ruins the look.

How did you remove the clear coating on your rims before polishing?
Aluminum polish isnt supposed to be used on coated rims.

But the results look good.
