Primary is off, may have found the problem, opinions?
I have removed the inner primary to find a bearing that is pressed into the inner primary case on the backside with a seal. That bearing is very gritty when turned. I am wondering if this bearing would make the noise, again it has to be pressed in and out of the inner pirmary cover.
Harley also said that my ISS seal has a slow oil leak and my small belt drive pully (transmission) is getting sharp. I have an old harley tech friend who looked at it said its nowhere near sharp, and there are no leaks I can see.
Could the dealer really try to sell me somthing I dont need that is that expensive. I mean a flush or somthing that costs 100 or so to upsell I can see but to BS someone on a job that big, really?
Anyway what type of noise would that bearing make?
Thank you
