Default Rear tire bad luck....

Took the Electra Glide out for the day. The back roads of West Virginia can be a bit risky due to the gas fracking trucks and the material left on the road.

Twenty miles outside of the nearest cowtown the bike took on a strange handling character. I pulled her over and bummer..rear flat tire and the biggest bolt I've seen in a longtime lodged deep in her guts.

Oh West Virginia and no cell service with Verizon....thank goodness the one only home around offered a landline and hours later back home.

This is my time ever with a flat tire moving while on a bike. I guess I have been riding since I was sixteen and now sixty, I guess I have been lucky!

Glad you are ok!!!!!!!!!!!

Did a good job there.. Imagine 11 feet of lane and you found that bolt with your back tire. Good aim!!!!!!!!!!

Lucky for us, they seem to usually just lose air instead of blowing. Gives us time to stop. I carry a can of fix-a-flat. I don't know if it would have helped yours, that's big old screw!

Looks like a starter bolt. Ironic that someone else could be stuck somewhere because of that bolt!

Make sure those cogs on your pulley are still rounded, not squared off. Loosing a belt sucks too.

Yep, five of us riding and my scooter gets lucky....why me, lol. Real fortunate I was not going over 40 mph before it was to late.
Thank goodness it's only flat on the bottom!
