Prot remember we get a lot of rust inside bolt holes here on the gulf coast WD 40 or something along those lines let it soak in a few min or so , then try to brake it loose then more lube if it doesn't work the first time , just keep trying it will work it self in after a while
I just soaked it with PB Blaster. I have had good results with this in the past. I am still trying to figure out a way to access the lower mounting screws without taking the the rear fender apart. It would seem like a lot to disassemble to do something so simple.

I had to take mine off to access the lower bolts.
It is easy after you take off the back rest brace.

I have an impact screwdriver that you hit with a hammer and it turns, works to get out stuck screws, you can get them at Harbor Freight for cheap.
I also have pretty good luck with my Ryobi ⅜ impact driver - the hammering, even slowly, will often break things loose.
The key is to use a good bit on either so you don't strip the screw.

BTW last time I was at Advanced Auto they tried to sell me Sea Foam instead of Sta-Bil. Not making that up. Apparently not only will it give you a nice buzz and cure constipation, it extends the life of gasoline you keep in a can!

prot just take your time & it will come apart , the rear fender is not thet hard to lower , as for sea foam I ran it a couple time in my riding mower , ran good went to cut the grass the other day & mower ran like crap , pulled the pluf & the end was missing , so no more sea foam in the mower & never in my bike , Back the Lucus fuel treatment sea foam
I have a small luggage rack I am trying to install behind the sissy bar, but am having a lot of difficulty. I can't get the four torx screws loose. Two of them are readily accessible but are so ridiculously tight and probably locktited that I can't get them to break loose. The other two are so down low that the fender is in the way to access them. It looks like I would have to remove the fender struts to access them and probably still fight them due to being too tight like the other two. I am scratching my head on this because it seems simple enough but I can't believe how tight they are. I am using a good torx and a ratchet, but it isn't budging. Since it is chrome, heating it up or beating on it is out of the question.
I'm having a difficult time visualizing which bolts are giving you issues. However, I've had my Dyna's sissy bar bolts get stuck and the dumb *** Chinese allen head's stripped.. When I run into this type of stuff, I just jump right to the die grinder and or drill to carefully cut the head off.. Worked for me, but it sounds like you may not be able to get to them, just thought I'd throw it out there in case you can..
Despite the PB blaster and being careful, the torx bolts have started to round off. I have left it alone for now while I regroup. I have also had a terrible time with my Jeep leaving me stranded and having to get a wrecker truck. My Jeep and my bike are my only vehicles and my bike isn't ready to ride yet, so it's been a rough few days. The Jeep is running again for now, but the problem was not fixed. The computer decided to start acting right. No codes or anything, so I am just waiting to get left somewhere at any time. As a result, I am getting anxious about my seat being ready and a couple of parts to arrive so I can at least have my bike in usable condition if the Jeep goes to hell again. I spent a fistful of dollars utilizing taxis for a few days due to problems trying to rent a car, which I eventually was able to. It's been a tough week, but I am making it.
Email from azece said that due to low demand for evo parts that the stuff I ordered from him had to be specially made just for me, but they are done and are back from chroming. Now they just need to go to powder coating before shipping to me. I can't wait until I get them because I am sure it will be worth it. Yes, I will post pictures of what I have going on with that.
I've been busy because of problems with my Jeep left me stranded and had to call a wrecker truck and through an unfortunate series of circumstances, many many taxi cab rides, and visiting multiple rental car places, I actually ended up a Honda Civic Hybrid for a few days since both the bike and the Jeep are down.
The Jeep decided to fix it self and started running again for no apparent reason, not leaving any codes in its wake of course but at the same time, other problems raised their heads. All of this lead to messing with the bike put on the back burner since my Jeep is my only other vehicle and for a little while it seemed like I was in a bind for having a way to get to work.
The custom pieces I had made showed up today along with pop up style gas caps.
The gas caps look great and improved the looks tremendously.
The three pieces I had made all look great with excellent craftsmanship and materials. I put the timing cover on and of course it looks good. I am going to have to do the derby cover another day because I want to put it on with a new gasket instead of reusing the old one.
The air cleaner cover turned out to be not quite what I had in mind. It looks like it was meant to be installed by itself. The problem is it is just a flat sheet of metal with a design machined into it. This leaves the air filter exposed to the elements, which I do not want due to terrible unexpected downpours down here. I then messed around some more and managed to install it on top of the factory air filter cover. Not only did that not fit quite right, it also made the air cleaner cover suddenly look huge which looked terrible. Tomorrow I am going to contact the guy about it. Maybe I can send it back or get it modified more to my liking. If not, I'll keep it around and use it on something one of these days.
I held the derby cover up to where it's going to go and it's going to look good. I just need to pick up a gasket Friday. I think all I need to do is just put the bike standing up straight, like in my trailer with the wheel chock and ratchet straps that way when I take the old cover off, very little if any oil will spill out when I pull the old cover off.
I think my seat might be ready this weekend, which will be two weeks that this particular guy has it even though he promised me less than one week. I also will probably be buying another car this weekend since my Jeep has been on the blink but I am not ready to get rid of it yet.
I haven't messed with the sissy bar bolts in a little while due to all the craziness I have been dealing with with the Jeep, taxis, rental cars, and wrecker trucks while still holding down my job and living by myself.
