Default Oil flow issue

While riding yesterday the oil light came on and stayed on until I reached home. First checked the tappet screen and it was 99 percent occluded. Removed the material in the screen which appeared to be fibrous cloth like material and a small amount of fine specs of aluminum, not enough to cause concern. However the fibrous material did cause me some concern. I checked the tank to pump line and when disconnected poured oil without any observed restriction. Disconnected the oil filter to pump hard line not running and nothing happened, no oil. Started the bike and the line produced small amounts of oil. Everything else seems OK. Can someone lean in and get me started as to what possible cause and what I should do next? Please.

Flush the line from filter to pump, fit a new filter and try again.

Fibrous material from what would be my next question? Filter media break apart? Mouse climb into the oil tank?

Yes, make sure all lines are patent and flowing. Next concern is any oil journals clogged?

I would cut that filter apart to see if it is the cause of your problem. YD

Default some crude partially blocking intake 90

I examined the filter and could not tell if material had been removed after I opened it. I did find an additional partial block of the oil intake 90 where the oil enters the pump. I do not know if this was the cause but it prevented me from getting enough flow to re-prime the pump. Had to stop to get some sleep work tomorrow. Thanks again guys I hope this is the end of troubles for a while as I have a two week ride beginning this weekend.

I did take the pump entirely apart to check all passageways and gears.
