From my internet research today I thought it looked like a dynojet kit, but I can't find anything about removing the needle jet (collar). I question this because the top of the emulsion tube has a tape on it, but by the range of travel on the needle I think the collar needs to be there. My only other idea is to measure the depth where the emulsion tube goes in to determine if there is room for the collar.

Nah mate, can you imagine what state his head would be in if he had to leave his bike dirty?

You leave the collar in with a dyno jet kit.

Thanks Spanners, new collar to be bought, end of story. You can now return to picking on Traildogs dirty bike. Or me, for being an idiot.

Over here we have a saying.
"You never see a motorcycle parked in front of a therapists office."

To make all your cares go away just go for a ride!!!

The emulsion tube actually holds these little buggers in and when you remove the tube the collar will fall out as you procede with the rest of the job.
Try looking around where you did the carb. work ., you might just find it .
See " CV Performance parts " for a new one .
Also , be careful if you replace the mixture screw ., there is a o,ring and small washer that will fall out also. See " CV Performance " for these parts also.

What if the therapist owns the bike?

Thanks Machinehed, I'm sure that is what happened. I looked all around yesterday and can't find it. I did tak the mixture screw out and got the washer and o-ring, expected that in there. I am just used to that collar being in snug, I guess not the case with these carbs. Anyway, got a new one after work and its back in the bike. Thanks for the help.

BTW, I put it in with the taper toward the needle.

NOTE....it fits in both directions, BUT only one way is correct so do your research before hand to make sure you know what way round it goes.
