O/k, I'm back again. Looking at my 92 Springer front end, 15 k original miles, I see the front springer shock has no rubber bushing (top part). I can take my hand and rattle the shock around, bottom bushings falling apart also.

So, can I buy just the rubber bushings, or at 15 k miles and 22 years old do I just need a new shock?

I see part # 54485-97 at HD for about $225, but e-bay has a replacement for around $45. Suggestions?

Thanks.

So much for that complete service they just performed...LOL, find a new place...

I'd just do the bushings rather than get an aftermarket shock. I've never used one but things like that I tend to stay with HD stuff...just me...
