Oh, also, I talked to a springer guy once at Sturgis and he said he had a lot of problems with the headlight housing getting loose, so you might check that too. I think he was on his 3rd or 4th headlight housing.

Neck bearing checked as I just had a full service @ 15k miles. My headlight stopped working the other day, found the inside 3 prong fitting fell off the light connection. Fixed that but realized there is a lot of buzzing / vibration on the old Springers. I will have to check the bushing next.
A bush is something different over here. If you don't lube it, and ride it hard, you can wear it out. If that happens you can have the bush tightened but it is better to upgrade the whole machine to a later model.
